We started with one objective and that is to let others enjoy the passion of the outdoors as we do.
We are a family with over 80 years of fishing and boating experience. My father was a commercial fisherman for 40 years, He instilled the passion of fishing in me which brings us to where we are today! Sharing the passion with others from every corner of the planet.
Being a member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary you can rest assure you are in good hands.
Meet your guide
Hello everyone, my name is Matthew and I own and operate Miramichi Bay Outfitters.
You could say fishing and hunting is in my blood. Growing up in a fishing family. My grandfather was an avid fisher and I tagged along on many trips to the camp in pursuit of Atlantic Salmon, trout and moose. My father is a commercial fisherman and together we have fished everything from smelts to giant bluefin tuna all over the Atlantic.
So that brings us here, where I now get to showcase my love and passion for fishing and the great outdoors. From the catch to preserving the species for future generations.
When I’m not on the water you can find me with my 3 children, likely in a hockey rink or in the barn. I also have a huge passion for hunting and enjoy my time in the woods.
Also being a class 1 guide and a proud member of the United Guides and Outfitters of New Brunswick, it allows me to showcase everything this beautiful province has to offer from the woods to the water .
